The first Abrahams tank rolled out of the production line in 1980.
It is the only tank with a jet engine. This engine has 1.500 bhp. Enough power to take the tank up to speeds near 100 km/h, but that is limited to 72 km/h. A jet engine is so hot that in can burn any fuel (diesel, unleadded, ...)
The weight of the dome is 29 ton and the undercarriage is even heavier.
