Turkish Airlines is based in Istanbul. They also fly from Izmir and Ankara.

In august 2006 Turkish airlines was flying 41 Boeing 737-800 and 17 Boeing 737-400, which gives a total of 58 Boeing 737.

Of the A320 family of aircraft they were flying 24 aircraft (2 A319, 14 A320, 8A321). They also used 19 widebody aircraft from Airbus (7 Airbus 310, 5 A330-200 and 7 A340-300) in 2006.

In 2003 the fleet of Turkish airlines consisted mainly of Boeing 737. They were flying 26 Boeing 737-800 and 14 Boeing 737-400 and 2 Boeing 737-500. For the long haul they used 7 airbus 340-300. They also used 5 Airbus 310-300. They also used 11 Canadair RJ's.
