300/310
It all started with the A300 in 1974, of which a shorder longer range variant (A310) became avaible in 1983.

320
In 1988 the A320 was a very modern aircraft, and it became a great succes. Since two shortened (A319, A318) and one stretched version (A321) have been developed.

330-340
In 1993 airbus delivered the A330-300 and A340-300, which had the cross secontion of the A300 and the technologies of the A320. In 1997 they added range to both type with the A330-200 and A340-200. From 2002 they only continued with the 4 version variants, with much more powerfull engines: A340-500 and A340-600.

A unique aircraft: largest commercial airliner in the world.

Under development, as the latest A340ies have no succes, a compsite 2-engine variant had to be developed. It became a hole new airplane.
