Boeing 737-600

This airliner seats between 110 and 132 passengers and has a range of 3,050 nautical miles (5,650 km) . By the end of 1998 the first boeing 737-600 was delivered to Scandinavian Airliners (SAS).

The Boeing 737-600 is 31,20 meters long. It's too heavy for such a small plane. Many regional jets can carry as much passengers.

Ten years later (2009) only 69 aircraft of this type have been ordered and almost half of which by Scandinavian airlines. Other users include Malev (6), Air Algerie and Tunisair. Airlines prefer to order the Canadair CRJ-900 and Embraer 190.

The larger Next Generation Boeing 737-700 and B 737-800 on the other hand sold really very much better. But here is no alternative from Canadair or Embraer.

In 2009 the Boeing 737-500, which is the same size as the 737-600 is still in use with many airlines: Lufthansa, Continental airlines, Air Baltic, CSA, ...
