January 2009 Alitalia lanched a new network with Air One.
The intercontinental operations use 15 aircraft for 13 destinations:
- From
Milan New York, Tokyo and Sao Paulo are served.
- From
Rome Boston, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, Caracas, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Accra, Lagos and Osaka (Japan) are served.
The long haul fleet consists of 10 Boeing 777-200ER, 2 Airbus A330-200,
still the Boeing 767-300ER which will be replaced by more Airbus
A330-200 aircraft.
