Original name was Virgin blue. Also own Tiger Australia with A320 airliners. Virgin America Virgin Atlantic

Sydney-Perth 4x daily with 330-200. It seems both Virgin Australia and Qantas by the A330 Widebody airliner on domestic flight to Perth. With 737 there would be too few business seats or too many economy seats, unless you had a subfleet. It's a special situation as there are no nearby airport in Perth, so there are only a few routes available between Australian cities. If there were nearby cities, the airline could have the business seats capacity it needed on the route, and then reroute needed economy capacity with stop-overs. Also there is more traffic from Melbourne to Perth than from Sydney. Probably as Melbourne is geographically better situated for connecting flights.
