Orient Thai airlines is based in Bangkok.
In 2004 Orient Thai airlines was using Boeing 747-200 between Bankgkok and Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and domestic destinations in Thailand.
In 2001 a politician won Thailands general election, promising to liberalise air transport. Orient Thai Airlines began preparing for its return to Thailand in 2002. Buying two Boeing 747 Classics and starting daily scheduled services between Bangkok and Hong Kong in February 2002. Seoul services were added in April , running daily during peak months. Another two 747s and one Tristar were added to the fleet the following October, when services to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore were launched. Orient Thai Airlines filled 95 per cent of the seats on its flights and made profits. It is a low fares airline. It's a private airline.
