The airport is located very close to the Brussels city center, which can be reached by taxi, bus or train, as there is a train station under the airport.
If you want a hotel at this airport, in 2008 there is a Sheraton located just one street accros the main entrance of the airport. Any closer is impossible.

This was a very small airport, but once Ryanair had started operations, the airport was expanding rapidly at the start of the new millenium, which resulted in the opening of a new terminal early 2008.
