The airport has a very good railway station, with very regular service to many major cities.

You can very easily get to Amsterdam-Centraal railway station.

The airport has it's own railwaystation from which it's very easy to take a train to the historical center of Amsterdam: Amsterdam-Centraal

Trains departing at the airport go all the way to Brussels (via The Hague, Rotterdam and Antwerp) and are available at least one every hour in 2009.

For high speed trains you need a reservation on a specific train. For regular trains a ticket for the traject is just fine.
