plans to fly daily from Brussels airport (BRU)
to New York (JFK)
in may 2010 with a Boeing 767-300ER. Flight DL 141 leaves Brussels at 11:30 am and arrives in New York at 1:55 pm.
I think this is the best option to travel from Brussels to New York, as
you don't have to get up too early to catch the flight in Brussels.
Departure at 11:30 am is probably the latest flight to New York you can
catch in Brussels.
When booked in November 2009, a return on flight DL 141 with a
Saturday night in New York seems to cost 473 euro.
Which is exactly the same fare as Continental airlines
, American Airlines
and Jet Airways
But on the Delta website it's announced as a return ticket of 252 euro,
which incliding taxes and fees becomes a 473 euro return fare.
Since 4 airliners charge exactly the same return fare of 473 euro between Brussels airport (BRU)
and New York (JFK)
it's clear that they are in competition. Nobody can charge more, as
passengers will notice and fly with the other carriers. On the other
hand 4 airlines charging the same price ... seems like a price
Delta is Skyteam
Continental is Star alliance
American is Oneworld
Jet Airways isn't in an airline alliance.
