airport building 1958
|Turkish airlines has 4
daily flights between Brussels airport and Istanbul airport in 2010.
Most of these flight are with their Boeing 737-800 or Airbus A320
family of airliners, but during July and August, when traffic is
peaking, they do fly their Airbus A330-200 on the route. In 2010 they
fly only 7 of them and normally they are used on long halu routes.
There is a large Turkish community in Belgium. In the golden 1960ies
when the Belgian economy was booming, Turkish families
have been invited to migrate to Belgium. Behind the airliner you
see pier B at Brussels airport. That pier is used for flights with
passport control. With the Schengen agreement passport control
has been abolished between several European countries.
