of it's car industry: General Motors and Ford are
headquartered here. The city is located on the Detroit
river and at the other side of this river is Canada.

Airlines, but this airline was taken over by Delta
Location: Detroit Metro Airport is a large airport with a long history. It's in the top 25 of the world and in the United States it's one of the Top 10 international gateways in 2009.
Terminals: there is on older part of the airport and on the other side of one of the 5 runways is the McNamara Terminal.
Hotels: In 2011 there is a Westin hotel right at the McNamara Terminal.
Passengers: the airport recieved over 32 millionpassengers in 2011, of which over 2,6 million were international passengers.
Departures: Tokyo - Amsterdam - ... more. The airport is a gateway to Asia in 2009. It's also well connected with Amsterdam (the hub of Northwest partnerairline KLM).
Runways: There seem to be 6 runways in 2012.
