Detroit Metro Airport is a large airport with a long history. It's in the top 25 of the world and in the United States it's one of the Top 10 international gateways in 2009.

The main airline at the airport has been Northwest Airlines, but this airline was taken over by Delta in 2009.


Northwest opened it's new terminal in 2002. They merged with Delta in 2008 and in 2011 Detroit is Delta's second largest hub and the terminal is considered as being one of the most beautiful in the USA.
