Iberia has around 4 flights a week from Madrid Barajas airport (MAD) to Bogota in the Summer of 2009. The aircraft is an Airbus A340-600.

Avianca serves this route in 2009 with their Airbus A330-200. They seem to do so on a daily basis.

In December 2009 Avianca has 5 Airbus A330-200 in it's fleet, with 5 more on order. They still have 2 Boeing 767-300ER and 2 Boeing 767-200ER in their fleet but in the past they have had a few more Boeing 767. (past fleet)

The first A330 -200 was delivered in 2008 and deliveries will continue till 2011.

The Avianca A330-200 have a total of 252 seats, of which 30 are Executive Class and 222 Economy Class seats.

Avianca also has 12 Boeing 787-800 Dreamliners on order. These will have a total of 296 seats.

In december 2009 Avianca still has 5 Boeing 757-200 it it's fleet, which will exit service in 2010. These airliners had a total of 170 seats, of which 12 in Executive class and 158 in economy.

Aviance is building up a fleet of Airbus A320 and A319.

In 2004 the Synergy Group bought Avianaca from a healthy Columbian.
