Seville San Pablo airport (SQV)
has a major expansion just before the 1992 world fair in Seville.

Location: It's located 10 km north east of the city center. Seville is the inland of Andalusia in Southern Spain.

Terminals: The only terminal that served 4,5 million passengers in 2007. In 2009 the airport is still much smaller than Malaga airport. The 2010 terminal was opened in 1989, just before the 1992 world fair. In 2000 traffic was only at just over 2 million passengers.  The terminal was designed by the architect Rafael Moneo.

Bus: the airport has a busservice to the city center. The first stop in the city seems to be the Santa Justa railway station. But then the bus continues to closer stops to the historical city center of Seville, which is the part near the Catherdral. The last stop seems to be Avda. Del Cid. This place is right in front of the University of Seville. From there it's a 3 minute walk to the Cathedral.  In 2010 there frequnecy of this bus service seems to be once every 30 minutes from early in the morning till midnight. A one way ticket seems to cost 2,30 euro.

History: The origins of this airport dates from 1914. It has been used for the very first flight from Europe to Africa.
