Valencia International airport got new terminal buildings around 2007 as most Spanish airports. But it remains a relatively small airport in Spain with less than 5 million passengers in 2010. The new airport buildings have been connected to the new Valencia metro. Valencia is an inland city on a river with astrong focus on the fertile agricultural land, but the city has been growing and absorbed the port town with a white sandy beach on the Mediterranean Sea. See Valencia ... There is also a lake near the sea and there are plenty of rice fields around that lake. The rice is used in the Paela dish, for which the city of Valencia is world famous.
