Big Ben
Big Ben is the name given to the main clock in the tower of the Palace of Westminster.
The name of Big Ben refers of the name given to a very tall British
polititian (Sir Benjamin Hall) who initiated the construction of the
tower in which the main clock was installed in 1858.
In the area are a lot of Govenment buildings and parks.
When you cross the Thames near Big Ben you will be near the London Eye.
When you walk away from the Thames you will get to Buckingham Palace.
