The capital and largest city of Hungary. Once part of the Austro-Hongarian Empire. The Habsburg family got their hands on the Hungarian Crown. It is one of the most beautifull cities in Europe except if you want to see modern architecture. The Donau is very wide here and is a real part of the city. On one side of the Donau the area is flat and here you find the largest part of the city center. The Hungarian Parliament building along the Donau in the middle if the city, might have been inspired by the British Parliament building along the Thames. Hungarians like their freedom, but the proximity of Italy, gives them also a Balkan mentality.

From Budapest Keleti Station you can catch a train to Vienna.
