Budapest has a large Jewish community and one of the largest Jewish Synagogues in the world is located in the city center at Dohany Street.

This Synagogue is in Moorish style and was competed in 1859. So in 2009 the Synagogue celebrated it's 150th anniversary. The Synagogue openend September 6th 1859.

This Dohany Street synagogue is probably the largest in Europe. In New York there is a larger synagogue.

In 2009 Robert Frolich seems to be a Rabbi at this synagogue in Budapest.

Dohany Street in Budapest is a small street but it's nearby Rakoczi Street and Vorosmarty Square.

The architect of the building was Ludwig Forster from Vienna.
