When you arrive at the airport in 2011 you can take
the aerobus 1 towards the city center. It leaves just in
front of the arrivals every 20 minutes and you can buy a
ticket from the driver for 3,5 euro. This seems to be
valid 24 hours unlimited, and also valid on some busses in
the city, but not on tramways.

The aerobus 1
stops at Marques De Pomal Square on top of the Avenue of
Liberty and then follows the Avenue of Liberty. It even
goes all the way down to the Cais do Sodre metro, railway
and ferry station.
